Edith's Wartime Scrapbook

Wednesday 18th and Thursday 19th December saw the performances of this year's christmas production.  A musical based on events during WW2, Edith's Wartime Scrapbook was performed by Years 5, 6, 7 & 8.

Edith, played by Mrs Clarke, is an old lady who discovers a scrapbook of photos in her attic when moving house.  Over the course of the play, the students enact various scenes that take place in the photographs in the scrapbook.  The story includes songs such as 'Women at war', 'We are the homeguard' and 'Will you be there'.  One of the highlights was the group of boys who played the ARP, singing along with the rest of the choir in the crowd-pleaser 'Put that light out'.  At the end of the play, Stanley, who is Edith's brother returns home from the frontline to great celebration.

The two performances were really fun to watch and we'd like to say thank you to all of the parents who helped to get the students' costumes ready.

Taking Every Thought Captive

Monday 13th October 2014

Recently I've been having waves of fear and anxiety attacks that have been lasting for days on end.

I find myself thinking "I don't want to feel like this but I can't seem to shake these thoughts and feelings."
I mean seriously who wants to live a life full of crippling fear and anxiety? Not me!

You can listen to Matthew's testimony here too...
