The power of dreams and visions

Today, more Muslims are coming to Jesus than at any other time in the 1400-year history of Islam!  Many veteran missionaries right across the Muslim world from Indonesia to Morocco say dreams and visions (along with satellite television) are introducing Muslims to Jesus in unprecedented numbers.  Tom and Joanna Doyle of e3 Ministries remark that more and more Muslims who have never thought about Jesus as saviour are having encounters with him in dreams.  Most of these don’t have a Bible and have never heard the Gospel but God is getting the message to them anyway.  One woman in central Asia told CBN News that if you ask in the church how people came to Christ, around 80% will say they saw him in a dream.  The dream or vision is the start of the journey to faith in Jesus as saviour and Lord.

Hazem Farraj, host of Reflections, a satellite programme for Muslims, remarks that he often gets feedback about dreams and visions.  He recalls one lady who wrote to him:

I turned on the television and there you were . . . the words that were coming out of your mouth were so peaceful I fell asleep.  When I fell asleep I ended up having a vision of Jesus and I saw the Lord.  As soon as I looked over I knew that Christ was the sacrifice, the son of the God.

Testimonies such as this are good news!  They witness to the power and sovereignty of God and illustrate his desire for everyone to come to salvation through Jesus.  As the end of the age approaches we believe supernatural encounters with Jesus such as this will increase.  The Doyles remark that beneath the current revolution in the Middle East, there’s a spiritual earthquake.  As things heat up politically and spiritually within Islam, the Holy Spirit is moving even more powerfully.  This is the time when hearts are open, people are desperate, governments are changing.  Everybody’s foundation has massive cracks in it and Jesus is the answer that can come in and fill that need.

Taking Every Thought Captive

Monday 13th October 2014

Recently I've been having waves of fear and anxiety attacks that have been lasting for days on end.

I find myself thinking "I don't want to feel like this but I can't seem to shake these thoughts and feelings."
I mean seriously who wants to live a life full of crippling fear and anxiety? Not me!

You can listen to Matthew's testimony here too...
