Beaney's Newsletter (September)

Can't believe we are now into September, time seems to be flying passed!!  We had a great week  of teaching on Missions by a lady called Anna Heinrich.   Anna set up a Skype interview with a missionary from different places in the world for every day of the week.  It was great to speak to people live and hear their stories, how God called them into missions and how it had been a journey from when they first heard God and to where they now were!  What seemed to be the theme that came through from all the interviews is how they all said 'yes' to God in the little things and it wasn't about them but how they allowed God to just use them.

Thursdays afternoons are fun -we have evangelism!! The children go out separately to the adults and they chat with people in parks (accompanied by some adults!)  We have been going into Perth with a team and worshiping on the streets and then chatting to people. Every Friday evening we have a meeting and a lot of people we meet on the streets on a Thursday come along!

As a team we are all doing fund raising for our outreach, as we leave at the end of this month.  We organised a car wash at a local petrol station and all got very wet!  On Saturday we are hosting a cultural Samoan evening which will involve some dancing!  We are also doing some sponsored events.  Firstly we are walking around a section of Swan River, approx 17 km, if anybody would like to sponsor us as a family that would be great!  You can either sponsor us per km or for the whole walk (Alana will be on her bike as we're not sure she will make it as we set off at 6am).  Zach will also be doing a sponsored swim in a local pool (Olympic size).

Beaney's Updates (January)

Thursday 22nd January 2015

We have been learning a lot about perseverance this year!!  In all that is going on around us, to keep focused on Jesus and allow Him to be our strength and our peace.  It has been a journey that has been very humbling and leaning more into God and trusting Him.

It was a sad day.... Mark was welding on the roof of a YWAM bus and a spark caught alight the interior and the bus went up in flames in seconds!

Taking Every Thought Captive

Monday 13th October 2014

Recently I've been having waves of fear and anxiety attacks that have been lasting for days on end.

I find myself thinking "I don't want to feel like this but I can't seem to shake these thoughts and feelings."
I mean seriously who wants to live a life full of crippling fear and anxiety? Not me!

You can listen to Matthew's testimony here too...
