The Prophetic Well

THE PROPHETIC WELL PAGES GENERALLY REMAIN UNDER REVIEW

Introduction

Through a number of prophetic words in 2002 it became clear that the Lord was calling us as a community to tap into a spiritual prophetic well located here in North Romford.  The Prophetic Well ministry was our response to that revelation.  Prophetic revelation is the key to fully understanding and participating in the purposes of God.

Three types of prophetic

We see three distinct yet overlapping dimensions of the prophetic.  As we approach the return of the Lord, it's imperative that:

i   we diligently and prayerfully study the prophetic scriptures (biblical prophecy)

ii   we need to hear what the Lord is saying through his prophets living today (thus says the Lord)

iii  we need to read the signs of the times just like the Men of Issachar did and as Jesus commanded

As we engage with the prophetic in each of these ways we'll discover the mind of the Lord.  As each approach confirms and corroborates the other, we'll have confidence to respond to events as they unfold and to reveal the purposes of the Lord to our generation.

Do not treat prophecies with contempt

We mustn't treat prophecy with contempt:

And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.  Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation.  For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:19-21 ).

Do not put out the Spirit's fire; do not treat prophecies with contempt.  Test everything.  Hold on to the good (1 Thessalonians 5:16-21).

We must also test and weigh prophecies given today.  God always has a purpose in mind when he speaks through the prophets.  It may be to strengthen, encourage or to comfort (1 Corinthians 14:3).  He may wish to ignite a burden, stir passion, release faith and hope, bring confirmation or point us in a new direction - we need to discover what this is.

The men of Issachar

The men of Issachar, the Bible tells us, understood the times and knew what Israel should do (1 Chronicles 12:32).  We seek this same anointing.  We live in dangerous and challenging days when earth-shattering events and trends, of a global dimension, occur with increasing regularity.

Christian heritage under attack

Our Christian heritage is also openly under attack and we suffer from the impact of atheism and neo-paganism at the highest levels in our land.  Christian values are eroded by legislation imposed by increasingly anti-Christian governments.  The media undermines the Christian faith.  The prophet Isaiah saw this day:

See, darkness covers the earth, and thick darkness is over the peoples ...... (Isaiah 60:2 (part))

The Bride of Christ

As the darkness increases however, the prophetic church continues to flourish and grow, releasing radical disciples to 'salt and light' the nations.  As the battle lines are drawn the bridal church makes herself ready.

Prophetic round-tables and conferences

Over the years we've hosted a number of prophetic round-tables and conferences, gathering prophets and apostles from around the world.  We believe a new apostolic and prophetic partnership is rising in the earth.  We've also produced a prophetic multi-media presentation telling the story of Jesus and his Bride (the church).  We believe the bridal aspect is an end-time emphasis of the Spirit.
